Anderson, SC - Barbara McGregor Moules, 83, widow of Robert Henry (Bob) Moules, Sr., passed away Monday, September 15, 2014, surrounded by her loving family.

Born July 23, 1931 in Anderson, she was the daughter of the late William Fred and Tommie Campbell McGregor. She was a graduate of Winthrop University. Barbara began her career with the C.I.A. in Lima, Peru, where she met her husband. After moving back to Anderson, she taught at Centerville Elementary School for 25 years. Her family was very important to her, and she was active in the lives of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.  She volunteered at the Anderson Free Clinic for several years. Barbara was a member of First Presbyterian Church, the Ladies Bible Class, and Circle #5.  

Survivors include her son, Robert H. “Bobby” Moules, Jr. and wife, Chere’; two daughters, Jeanne James and husband, Larry, and Katie Newton and husband, Wes, all of Anderson; eight grandchildren, Kristina Ferrell Callaham and husband, Jacob, Cameron Sprinkle and wife, Mica, Christian Sprinkle, McKenzie Moules, Macie Moules, Nathan Newton, Ben Newton and Ian Newton; three great grandchildren, Harper Callaham, Madelynn Callaham and Hayden Newton; and a nephew, Tom McGregor, his wife, Patsy, and their family of Anderson.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, William F. “Mac” McGregor, Jr. 

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at First Presbyterian Church conducted by Dr. Dennis Tedder. Entombment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park Mausoleum. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Wednesday at Sullivan-King Mortuary. The family is at the residence. 

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Presbyterian Church, 302 West Whitner Street, Anderson, SC 29624.
