Anderson, SC - Larry Thomas McLees, 77, husband of Dianne Parker McLees, died Friday, October 31, 2014 at his residence.
Born October 15, 1937 in Anderson, he was the son of the late James F. and Cora Kellett McLees. He was a U.S. Army Veteran and was a retired electrician with BASF. He performed in the Senior Follies for a number of years and enjoyed flying his airplane as long as his health permitted. Mr. McLees was a member of New Prospect Baptist Church and the Desire Sunday School Class.
Survivors include his wife, Dianne McLees of the home; one daughter, Darlene McLees of Cornelius, NC; brother, William F. McLees and wife, Judy of Blairsville, Georgia; sister, Sara M. Barnette of Seneca; three nephews and two nieces.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at New Prospect Baptist Church conducted by Dr. Tony Smith and Rev. Tom Turner. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with military honors provided by the Upstate Veterans Honor Guard. The family will receive friends from 4 until 6 p.m. Saturday at Sullivan-King Mortuary. The family is at the residence.
