ANDERSON - Sara Elizabeth Cordell Shedd, 72, of 31 South Prince Street, died Monday, September 9, 2013 at her residence.
Born May 9, 1941 in Anderson, she was the daughter of the late Arnold and Floree Elizabeth Taylor Cordell. She was a retired employee of J.P. Stevens and attended Orrville Baptist Church.
Survivors include three daughters, Vickie Sentell (Tommy) of Anderson, Terrie Shedd of Seneca, and Donna Taylor of Bamberg; one son, Chris Shedd of Anderson; 12 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; one sister, Patricia Ham; and one brother, Donald Cordell.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, James Alfred Shedd and Russell Frank Shedd; three grandchildren, Misty Miranda, Braxton Keith Waddell, and Jonathan Allen Moore; two sons-in-law, Grady Allen Moore and Michael Rhett LeCroy; and one brother, Larry Cordell.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Wednesday at Sullivan-King Mortuary. The family is at the residence.
