ANDERSON - Vernelle Sorrow Blair Harris, 75, wife of Claude Earl Harris, died Thursday, May 23, 2013 at AnMed Health Medical Center. 

Born March 24, 1938 in Oconee County, she was the daughter of the late Ben James and Maggie Inez King Sorrow. She was a retired employee of Owens-Corning Fiberglass with over 36 years service. Mrs. Harris was a member of Oakdale Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Claude Earl Harris of the home; two daughters, Linda Guynelle Roberson and husband, Donald, and Debra Lynn Pearson and husband, Bill; granddaughter, Amy Michelle Landrith and her fiance, Roger Dale Bagwell; grandson, Brandon Neal Barton, all of Anderson; brother, Floyd Ray Sorrow and wife, Macie of Lincolnton, NC; sisters, Evelyn Sullivan of Fair Play, Mildred Davis and husband, Ray of Anderson, Betty Virginia Long and husband, Haskell of Westminster, and Maxie Palmer and friend, W.L. Moon of Townville; her best friend, Joe Turner and wife, Brenda of Anderson; and a number of nieces and nephews. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Clarence Guy Blair and two sons, Lamar Blair and Randy Harris.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Oakdale Baptist Church conducted by Dr. David Blizzard and Rev. Larry Stancil. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4 until 6 p.m. Saturday at Sullivan-King Mortuary, 3205 North Highway 81, Anderson. The family is at the residence.
