NELLIE H TAYLOR

July 19, 1920 – July 28, 2012
Nellie H Taylor, age 92, widow of Thomas A. Taylor, passed away on Saturday, July 28, 2012 at AnMed Health Care Center.
Born in Gaffney, SC she was the daughter of the late A.Y. Hughes and Grace Wheat Hughes. A 1937 graduate of Girls High School, she retired from Wellington Mills where she worked in the Personnel office. She was a former member of Southside Baptist Church and for the past twenty years has been a member of Forest Hill Baptist Church where she attended the Hope Sunday School Class. Her sweet disposition made her a favorite with many and she was famous for her special Pound Cake.
She is survived by her son Thomas H. Taylor and his wife Diana of Hampton, VA, 3 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, 3 nieces and 1 nephew.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Coleman, Lester and Lewis Hughes. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
The Funeral service will be held at The McDougald Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, July 30, 2012 at 4:30 PM with the Reverend Tom Owen officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, July 30, 2012 from 3:00 PM until 4:00 PM.
