JUNE 8, 1926 – JULY 19, 2012

BELTON, SC - Samuel P. Norman, age 86, of 130 Murdock Road, husband of Patsene Music Norman, passed away on Friday, July 19, 2012 at the Rainey Hospice House.

Born in Richmond, IN, he was the son of the late Pete Norman and Ivy Morgan Norman.  He proudly served his country in World War II, with the U.S. Navy.  He was retired from Wells Aluminum.  He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, in Belton.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughters, Barbara Allen and Pamela Norman; grandchildren, Stephanie Phillips, Michael McMinn, Jr., Sandra Thrasher, Megan Bigby, Brian Fleming, and Dereck McAlister; a brother, Jim Norman.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Vickie Bigby; his brother, Charles Norman; and two sisters, Lillian Redinbaugh, and Tillie Stitts.

The Funeral Service will be held on Monday, July 23, 2012 at 1:00 pm at Calvary Baptist Church in Belton with Reverend Earl Green, Reverend Hulon Bryant, and Reverend Michael McMinn, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow at M.J. Dolly Cooper Veteran Cemetery.

The family will be at the residence of his granddaughter, Stephanie Phillips, 244 Pebble Brook Lane, Belton, SC, and will receive friends at the church before the service from 11:00 am until 12:45 pm.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Rainey Hospice House, 1835 Rogers Road, Anderson, SC 29621.
