VERA P. WALLACE

October 7, 1928 – February 26, 2012

Vera Grace Pierce Wallace passed away on Sunday, February 26, 2012 at AnMed Health Care Center.

Born in Oconee County, GA, she was a daughter of the late Jasper Newt Pierce and Effie Lee Toole Pierce.  She was married for 57 years to the late Tracy R. Wallace, Jr. Mrs. Wallace was employed by Hardees and was a member of Eureka Baptist Church.   She was one who loved her Lord, her church and her family.  She was a prayer warrior in behalf of many.

Survivors include her daughters, Betty Branham (John), Elizabeth Tesner (Jamie), Josie Webb (Yogi), Margaret Rampey and Tracy Watkins (Hank); sons, Jimmy Wallace (Gail), Michael Wallace, and Richard Wallace; sister, Mary Ann Thrasher; brothers, Butch Pierce (Margaret) and Wade Pierce; half-brother, Harry Pierce; 7 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren; also surviving is a special family friend, Joe Tesner.

In addition to her parents and husband, Vera was predeceased by sisters, Jeanette Pierce and Wanda Pierce; brothers, John Henry, Bobby and Daniel Pierce; and grandson, James R. Walls. 

A funeral service will be held Tuesday at 3:00 PM at Eureka Baptist Church with the Reverend Dr. Ron Fousek officiating.  The family is at their respective homes and will receive family and friends from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM, Tuesday, at the Church. 

Memorials may be made to Eureka Baptist Church, 1600 U.S. 29 North, Anderson, SC 29621.
