Helen A. Whitfield, age 82, of Anderson, passed away on Saturday, February 25, 2012 at her residence.
Born in Anderson, she was the daughter of the late Cullen D. Dunn and Mary Ann Phillips Dunn and was married to the late Charlie Whitfield. She was a graduate of Girls High School, Class of 1946, in Anderson, was an avid golfer and loved R.V. travel. She was a member of the Stone Creek Cove Ladies Golf League and was a former Girls Scout Troop Leader.
Survivors include her daughter, Vicki W. Littlefield of Anderson, SC; grandchildren, Jeff Littlefield and his wife, Sherrie and their daughter, Savannah, and Chris Littlefield and his wife, Amy, and their children, Josie, Sara, and Ben; sisters, Sandy Dunn Beck and her husband, Joe of Danville, VA and their children, Kristi Cain and Scott Beck, and Anne Dunn Cooper of Summerton, SC and her children, Brynne Sanders and Drew Cooper. Also surviving is her step-mother, Betty Dunn.
A Graveside Service will be held Monday at 11:00 AM at Forest Lawn Memorial Park with Rev. Joe M. Beck officiating.
The family will receive friends, Sunday, February 26, 2012 from 7:00 PM until 9:00 PM at The McDougald Funeral Home.
