ANDERSON, SC - Virginia Ruth Sisk Barrett, age 83, resident of the Ellenburg Nursing Center, formerly of E. Street, passed away February 18, 2012, at the Rainey Hospice House.
Born in Anderson, SC she was a daughter of the late William Winchester Sisk and Maggie Rowland Sisk. She was a homemaker, a friendly and caring person, always helping others.
She is survived by a son, George Barrett, of Anderson, SC., sisters; Mary Martin and her husband Curtis, of Anderson, SC., Betty Ezzell, of Florence, SC., and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by four brothers and three sisters.
A Graveside service will be held February 22, 2010, at 3:00 pm at the Forest Lawn Memorial Park, with Reverend Mike Harrell officiating. The family will be at their respective homes, and will receive friends following the service.
