PAULINE “POLLY” EVANS

August 4, 1940 – February 10, 2012
Pauline “Polly” Evans of 223 E. Benson Street, died at her home on Friday, February 10, 2012. She was born in Anderson County, a daughter of the late Vernon and Annie Elizabeth Clinkscales Carver. Polly was married to the late Donald Ray Evans.
Mrs. Evans was a spinner at West Point Pepperell for quite a few years, and she was of the Baptist Faith.
Survivors include 2 sons, Paul Dale Davis and Mark Davis of Anderson; 2 daughters, Joyce Glenn (Alan) of Townville and Darlene Davis of Anderson; 2 brothers, Curt Carver (Jean) of Iva, and Stanley Carver of Highlands, NC; sisters, Shirley Ann Burdette of Anderson, Cammie J. Carver of Iva, and Delores Starrett (Randall) of Hartwell, Ga. Polly is also survived by 5 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Polly is also survived by a special friend, Tonya Ashworth of Anderson.
The family will be at the residence of Shirley Burdette, 223 E. Benson Street, # 51, Anderson. A family memorial ceremony will be scheduled at a later time.
