ANDERSON - Marian Grider Shields, 85, of Anderson, died Friday, February 10, 2012. Born in 1926 in Porterville, CA, she was married for 54 years to the late E. Loyd Shields who died in 2000. Services and burial will be held next weekend in Fresno, CA.
Marian was born and raised in California, spent 20 years in Las Vegas, NV supporting her husband who worked for Hughes Corporation as well as his other work as a church administrator. In 2001 she moved to Anderson to be closer to family. She fell in love with Anderson.
She is survived by her daughters, Velma Martin and Ann Calandrino; her son, Louie Shields; four granddaughters and 10 great-grandchildren. A local Memorial Service will be held later this month.
