ANDERSON, SC - Virginia Lorraine Hale Taylor, age 87, of Anderson, passed away on Tuesday, November 27, 2012, at NHC of Anderson.
Born in Clell, VA, she was the daughter of the late Larkin Hale and the late Martha Kiser Hale. She retired from BASF after many years of service. Virginia was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church of Anderson.
She is survived by a son, Harry W. Taylor and his wife Teresa of Franklin, NC; a daughter, Olivia T. Hanks and her husband Wade of Belton, SC; a sister, Lucille Wohlford of Blacksburg, VA; six grandchildren, Lara McCall and her husband Jonathan, Kimberly McNeely and her husband Brandon, Kevin Taylor and his wife Alyson, William Taylor and his wife Jessica, Grace Taylor and Jesse Taylor and his wife Connie; and five great-grandchildren, Nevaeh McNeely, Will McCall, Joselynn McCorkle, Griffin Taylor and Larkyn McNeely.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Isaac C. Taylor; three brothers, Carnese, Lacy and Bill Hale; and a sister, Phyllis Smith.
The Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home on Wednesday, November 28, 2012 at 3:30 pm, with Reverend Bob Carlisle officiating. Entombment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park Mausoleum. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 2:00 pm until 3:30 pm.
