ANDERSON - Sara Elizabeth Sims Moorhead, 97, widow of Rufus H. Moorhead, died Saturday, November 24, 2012 at the Rainey Hospice House.

Born October 6, 1915 in Anderson, she was the daughter of the late Claude H. and Icie Craft Sims. She was a graduate of Girls High School and was a homemaker. Mrs. Moorhead was a member of North Anderson Baptist Church.

Survivors include two daughters, Gloria M. Arnold and husband, David of Seneca, and Anne M. Chastain and husband, Sonny of Simpsonville; three grandsons and four great granddaughters.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her infant son, Terry Rufus Moorhead.

A private graveside service will be held at Old Silver Brook Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of the Upstate, 1835 Rogers Road, Anderson, SC 29621 or to Interim Hospice, 155 Deacon Tiller Court, Duncan, SC 29334.
