ANDERSON, SC – Mrs. Clara Bell Stone Strickland, age 105, formerly of 104 P Street, passed away on Thursday, August 5, 2010, at the Rainey Hospice House.
Born March 28, 1905, in Royston, GA, she was a daughter of the late Robert T. Stone and Mary Brewer Stone. She was a homemaker and a member of Royston Baptist Church.
Survivors include a son, Sammy Strickland and wife, Susan Strickland, of Anderson; daughter-in-law, Nellie Strickland of Belton; sixteen grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Homer Rex Strickland; daughter, Mary Ellen Branyon; sons: Billy Strickland, Jimmy Strickland, Jerry Strickland, and Harris Strickland; and four grandchildren.
The Funeral Service will be held at 4:30 pm on Saturday, August 7, 2010, in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home, conducted by Layman Harry Osborne. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 3:00 pm until 4:00 pm at the funeral home, prior to the Funeral Service.
