ANDERSON, SC – Eunice Adelia Collins Sutherland, age 87, wife of the late Ralph Elmoy Sutherland, Jr., passed away on Monday, August 30, 2010, at AnMed Health Medical Center.
Born in Anderson, SC, on August 9, 1923, she was a daughter of the late Robert Collins and Bertha Speares Collins. Mrs. Sutherland graduated Anderson Girl’s High School and was a homemaker. She was a member of New Prospect Baptist Church.
Survivors include her sons: Randall Sutherland and wife, Vickie of Johnson City, TN, David Sutherland and wife, Shari of Evans, GA, and Perry Sutherland and wife, Cathy of Anderson, SC; grandchildren: Lindsey, Katie, Bradley, Garrett, Natalie, and Nicole; great grandson: Dylan Andrew; and brother, Marvin Collins of Greenville, SC.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by a brother, Lonnie R. Collins and a sister, Myrtice McKinney.
The Funeral Service will be held at 2:30 pm on Wednesday, September 1, 2010, in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home conducted by the Reverend Dr. Benny Speares. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
The family is at the home, 3824 Dobbins Bridge Road, and will receive friends at The McDougald Funeral Home from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm on Wednesday.
