Anderson, SC - Clyde “Kay” Kenneth Stephens, age 77, husband of Vidilla Campbell Stephens of 210 Ellen Street, passed away Saturday, August 28, 2010 at the Anderson Area Medical Center.
 
Born on December 19, 1932 in Anderson, SC to the late Clyde Stephens and Mable Thomas Stephens, Mr. Stephens served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He retired from Owens Corning after 35 years with many of those years spent in the Maintenance Department. He was formerly a member of the First Assembly of God then became a member of Greater Harvest Pentecostal Holiness Church. He was a volunteer with Good Neighbor Cupboard for several years.
 
In addition to his wife, Mr. Stephens is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Ray and Kathy Stephens of Anderson; a daughter, Tammy McCurry, also of Anderson; four grandchildren, Kelley Moore, Sarah Stephens, Ross Stephens, and Caleb Stephens; and one great-grandchild, Aiden Soldi.            .
 
In addition to his parents, Mr. Stephens is predeceased by a daughter, Sissy Stephens and one granddaughter, Rachel Stephens.
 
The Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, August 31, 2010 in The McDougald Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00 PM with the Reverends Charles Marcy and Shane Elrod officiating. Interment will follow in South Lawn Memorial Gardens with Military Honors.
 
The family will be at the home and will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, August 30, 2010 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
