STARR, SC – James Wallace “Buddy” Barnes, widower of Toni Govin Barnes, passed away on Monday, August 2, 2010, at Heardmont Nursing Home in Elberton, GA.

 

Survivors include two sons: James Kevin Barnes and Jason William Barnes & fiancée, Savannah Smith; brother: Larry O. Barnes & wife, Javene; sister, Betty B. Kinley & husband, Doug.

 

In addition to his wife, he was predeceased by parents, James William “Bill” Barnes & Louise B. Chastain; and two sisters: Rebecca B. Jennings & Frances B. Bradford.

 

The Funeral Service will be held at 3:00 pm on Thursday, August 5, 2010, in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home conducted by Dr. Jack Couch. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park.

 

The family will receive friends from 1:30 pm until 2:30 pm on Thursday at the funeral home.
