LOWNDESVILLE – Jerry Clinton Morgan, 65, of Lowndesville, formerly of LaFrance, husband of Marjorie Whitfield Morgan, died Saturday, August 14, 2010 at the Rainey Hospice House.
Born August 27, 1944 in Anderson, he was the son of the late Thomas Jefferson and Pearl Smith Morgan. He was retired from textiles with 48 years service and was of the Church of God faith.
Survivors include his wife, Marjorie, of the home; one son, Tony B. Morgan and wife, Debra of Anderson; one daughter, Rhonda Morrow and husband, Tony of Seneca; four grandchildren, Justin Morgan, Ryan Fowler, Lee Morrow, and Morgan Lacey Morrow; one great granddaughter, Khloe Morgan; and three sisters, Juanita Taylor of Pendleton, Shirley Stewart of Anderson, and Caroline Padgett of Sandy Springs.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Glenn Morgan, and a sister, Linda Padgett.
Graveside services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Monday at Memory Gardens in Clemson conducted by his three nephews, Ronnie Stewart, Tommy Stewart, and James Oliver Padgett. The family will receive friends at the cemetery following the service. Family members are at their respective homes.
