MABEL BASKIN

MARCH 25, 1916 – JULY 9, 2010

IVA, SC – Miss Mabel Baskin, age 94, of 2019 Mt. Vernon Church Road, passed away on Friday, July 9, 2010.

Born in Abbeville County, SC, on March 25, 1916, she was a daughter of the late Tom & Lula Smith Baskin. She retired from Iva Drug Company and was a lifetime member of Providence Presbyterian Church in Lowndesville.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters: Lavinia Baskin & Margaret Baskin and two brothers: Wilbur Baskin & Howard Baskin. She is survived by two nephews: Wayne H. Baskin of Easley, SC, and Wm. Thomas Baskin of Alexandria, VA.

The family will receive friends from 3:00 pm until 4:00 pm on Sunday, July 11, 2010, at Providence Presbyterian Church, Lowndesville.  A Graveside Service will follow at 4:00 pm in the Providence Presbyterian Church Cemetery conducted by the Reverend Lee P. Kennerly.

In lieu of flowers, it is suggested that memorials be made to Providence Presbyterian Church, P.O. Box 226, Lowndesville, SC 29659.
