ANDERSON – Michael Ferguson Callihan, 58, of Auburn, Maine, formerly of Anderson, died Saturday, May 22, 2010 in Lewiston, Maine. 

Born June 6, 1951 in Memphis, TN, he was the son of Wilbur Callihan and the late Thelma Ferguson Callihan. He was a 1969 graduate of Tennessee Military Academy and attended The Citadel. He was an employee of International Paper Company in Jay, Maine for 20 years. 

Survivors include a son, Jonathon Russell Hosea and wife, Susan of Rock Hill; two granddaughters, Annalisa and Ashlyn Hosea of Rock Hill; father, Wilbur Callihan of Anderson; sister, Kay Benton and husband, Donald of Macon, GA; and a brother, Brian Callihan of Anderson. 

Graveside services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Thursday at New Silver Brook Cemetery conducted by Dr. Dennis Tedder. The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 p.m. Wednesday at Sullivan-King Mortuary, Northeast Chapel, 3205 North Highway 81, Anderson. The family is at the home of his father, Wilbur Callihan, 107 Mayci Way, Anderson.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of the Upstate, 1835 Rogers Road, Anderson, SC 29621, or First Presbyterian Church, 302 West Whitner Street, Anderson, SC 29624, or to Thornwell Home for Children, P.O. Box 60, 302 South Broad Street, Clinton, SC 29325-0060.
