ANDERSON – Gladys Jewell Cathey, 82, of 323 E. Benson Street, Wil-Mary Apartments, died Sunday, April 4, 2010 at the Rainey Hospice House.

Born September 7, 1927 in Anderson, she was the daughter of the late John and Lola King Hanks. She was a retired textile employee with Orr-Lyons Mill and was a member of Taylor Memorial Pentecostal Holiness Church.

Survivors include her daughter, Cynthia Hunter and husband, Fred of Anderson; and one grandson, Ryan Earl Hunter. She was preceded in death by two brothers.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Taylor Memorial Pentecostal Holiness Church conducted by Rev. Brent Lollis and Layman Harry Osborne. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 12 noon until 1 p.m. Tuesday at the church. The family is at the home of her daughter, 329 Monti Drive, Anderson.
