Taylors, SC- Mr. James Michael “Mike” Luper, age 65, husband of Grace Baker Luper, of 1506 Pinecroft Drive, died Saturday, February 27, 2010 at Rainey Hospice House.
 
Born in LaGrange, GA, he was a son of the late Arthur Faulkner Luper. Mike was a U.S. Air Force veteran and was a retired self-employed general contractor. He attended Taylors Church of God.
 
Survivors include his wife of the home; sons, Jeremy Foshee of NC and Stephen Luper of Anderson; daughters, Shanon Luper of Columbia and Hannah Luper of Taylors; two grandchildren; two brothers, Ken Luper of Anderson and Darrell Luper of Outer Banks, NC.
 
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Gary Luper.
 
The funeral service will be held at 11am on Tuesday, March 2, 2010 in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home officiated by Reverend Scott Wiggins. Interment will follow in M.J. “Dolly” Cooper Veterans Cemetery with Military honors.
 
The family will receive friends on Monday from 6pm-8pm at the funeral home.
 
The family will be at the home of his sister-in-law, Jean Frost, 205 Cloverdale Drive in Anderson.
 
Flowers are optional, however, memorials may be made to Hospice of the Upstate, 1835 Rogers Road, Anderson, SC 29621.
