ANDERSON- Mrs. Nancy Gilmer McCoy, 79, widow of Truman Ree McCoy, Jr., passed away on February 21, 2010 at AnMed Health Medical Center.

Born May 3, 1930 in Anderson, she was the daughter of the late Wade Hampton Gilmer, Sr. and Nancy McAllister Gilmer. She was a 1947 graduate of Anderson Girl’s High and a graduate of Limestone College. Mrs. McCoy was a member of First Baptist Church, Anderson and of the Encouragers Sunday School Class. She formerly taught the second grade Sunday School class at First Baptist Church for many years.

She is survived by her daughters: Nancy Lu McCoy Wright (John) and Ann Louise McCoy Nicolopulos (Craig) all of Anderson; five grandchildren: Ria Wright Hydrick (Matt), Luisa Wright, John Wright, Jr., Gina Nicolopulos and Jake Nicolopulos; great grandson, McCoy Hydrick and a brother, Wade Gilmer, Jr. (Mae Linda) of Anderson.

Private graveside services were held on Monday February 22, 2010 at Forest Lawn Memorial Park conducted by Dr. James R. Thomason.
