Marian Isabelle Sholaas Billadeau of 4212 Airline Road, widow of Everell G. Billadeau, went home to be with her Heavenly Father on Wednesday, November 18, 2009.
Born on May 29, 1922, she was the youngest of three daughters, born to the late Ingvald and Mary Anderson Sholaas. She was raised in Raub and Lucky Mound, ND. As a Registered Nurse, she served in the United States Navy during World War II, stationed in Tacoma, WA, after which she returned to North Dakota, married and raised nine children. She had a long career as a Registered Nurse and retired from Anderson Area Medical Center at the age of 74.
She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Richard and Peggie Billadeau of Mount Airy, NC; William and Fern Billadeau of Minot, ND; Edwin and Bonnie Billadeau, and Monte and Bonnie Billadeau of Parshall, ND; by her daughters and son-in-law, Avis and Ronnie Norby; Elana Dawn Billadeau, all of Anderson, SC, Elona Dee Garrett of Williamston, SC and by her many nieces and nephews, numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, all of whom she loved dearly.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Ted Bryan Billadeau; her daughter, Renee Arlette Billadeau; and her sisters, Margaret “Margie” Little Swallow and Olive “Ollie” Spotted Bear Benson.
A Memorial Service and Celebration of her life will be held in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home on Saturday, November 21, 2009 at 1:00 pm officiated by the Reverend Dr. Kirt Mitchell. Burial will be in Parshall, ND. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11:30 pm to 12:30 pm on Saturday. The family will be at the home of her daughter Avis Norby, 306 Sweetbriar Circle, Anderson, SC.
